• This program will fund the travel of a family member or friend of the mobility-impaired veteran to the veteran’s home.
• The purpose of the program is to bring in a trusted person to take care of the veteran in order for the veteran’s caregiver to get respite time off.

• This program can support the veteran’s relational wellbeing and the caregiver’s mental wellbeing.

• The purpose of the program is to care for the veteran, including common medical needs, in order for the veteran’s caregiver to get respite time off.

• The visit is envisioned to last 4-8 hours.
• This program can support the veteran’s physical wellbeing and the caregiver’s mental wellbeing.
• This program will arrange a member of the veteran’s local community to provide in-home companion care.
• The purpose of the program is to bring in a fellow veteran having that shared experience to spend time with the veteran in order for the veteran’s caregiver to get respite time off.
• Companion care cannot provide medical care.
• The visit is envisioned to last a handful of hours.
• This program can support the veteran’s relational and mental wellbeing and the caregiver’s mental wellbeing.
• This program will fund 1-2 sessions of professional counseling by a licensed Christian counselor.
• The purpose of the program is to enhance the wellbeing of the caregiver through private, one-on-one counseling provided either in-person or online.
• Optimally, spiritual counseling would occur during the caregiver’s respite time off.
• This program can support the caregiver’s mental, spiritual, and relational wellbeing.
• This program will provide one or more facilities tailored to care for the needs of the veteran.
• The purpose of the program is to offer an option outside the veteran’s home that cares for the veteran in order for the veteran’s caregiver to get respite time off.
• Tailored facilities could involve a smaller building for non-overnight veteran care.
• Alternatively, a larger facility may be built that will be staffed to provide more comprehensive wellness support for both the veteran and caregiver, and to afford limited Paralympics training support. Paralympic support dramatically raises the visibility of this people group in society!
• Visits are envisioned to last hours to several days.
• This program can support the mental, physical, spiritual, and relational wellbeing of both the veteran and caregiver.
